General Information
Why choose Backcountry Snowmobiling?
Well, we could tell you we are the best, just like all the other companies try to. But instead of listening to us talk about how we have the best guides, nicest snowmobiles, gorgeous views, great value, etc., listen to our satisfied customers instead. Check Trip Advisor, Yelp, or Facebook and you’ll see that we are consistently given the highest ratings of any snowmobile tour in Utah!
Age Requirements
How old do you need to be to drive a snowmobile?
You need to be at least 16 years old with a learner’s permit. However, our guides are responsible for your safety and others’ safety and may not allow drivers under 16 to drive if they feel they won’t be able to safely manage the snowmobile. Everyone under 18 will be evaluated by the guide staff for the ability to safely operate the snowmobiles.
How old do you need to be to ride on a snowmobile?
You must be at least five years old.
Equipment and Costs
Do you have two-person snowmobiles?
Yes, we do.
Does it cost extra for the second person on the snowmobile?
Yes, it costs $59 for the two-hour tour and $69 for the three-hour tour.
What should we wear to ride?
Ski or snowboarding clothes are fine. We provide a helmet with the rental. We suggest you bring your own goggles as well. However, we have those plus all the snow gear—including boots—that you would need for a small additional rental fee.
Snow and Safety
How's the snow?
Our customer’s experience and safety are our #1 priority. If we feel that the ride won’t be fun or safe, we will cancel the trip before you come out to ride. Otherwise, come up and have fun riding with us.
